Fanned out on a jungle ridge in Bukit Sandag, Bull House resembles a gentle beast lowering its sweeping horns toward Sidemen’s dawn-lit valley. Two curved bamboo wings shelter an open bedroom on one side and a cushioned lounge on the other, joined at the centre by a double-deck stone pool: a shallow soak spilling into a larger basin whose outline echoes a pair of horns. Sip coffee as morning mist lifts off the rice terraces below, then drift in the lower pool with Mt Agung rising to the north. Smooth bamboo arches, a round canopy bed, and hand-woven details keep the interior warm and unpretentious; outside, the terrace feels almost level with the forest canopy, so birds glide past at eye height.
